Article 2 — Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply, without restriction or reservation, to all reservations for hotel rooms and related services made with a Korner hotel.
The key features of the Services, prices, availability, pricing terms, and cancellation, modification, and payment policies are presented to the Customer before the reservation is confirmed.
The Customer acknowledges having received, prior to confirming the reservation, all the necessary information to make an informed decision.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions, unless specific terms and conditions have been expressly accepted by the Hotel.
If a reservation is made through a third-party platform or distribution partner, that partner’s specific terms and conditions may also apply. In the event of any conflict, the terms and conditions of the booking channel used shall prevail with respect to matters specific to that channel, including payment, changes, or cancellations.
The applicable version of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale is the one in effect on the date of the reservation.
Article 3 — Reservation
The Customer selects the services they wish to book, including:
- the type of room;
- dates of stay;
- the number of occupants;
- the applicable rate;
- any additional benefits.
The Customer should review the summary of their reservation before confirming it.
To confirm their reservation, the Customer must provide the requested information, including their personal contact information and, depending on the selected rate, their bank account information as a guarantee or for payment.
The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided at the time of booking. The Customer is responsible for any errors in the dates, name, number of guests, email address, phone number, or bank account information.
The reservation becomes final upon acceptance by the Hotel and the sending of a reservation confirmation to the Guest.
The Hotel reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation in the event of a prior dispute with the Guest, nonpayment, invalid bank account information, suspected fraud, or conduct contrary to the interests of the establishment.
Each reservation is made in a specific guest's name and may not be transferred to a third party without the Hotel's prior consent.
Article 4 — Cancellation, Change, and No-Show Policies
Cancellation, change, and refund policies depend on the fare booked.
These terms are provided to the Customer before the reservation is confirmed and are reiterated in the reservation confirmation.
4.1 Flexible Rate
Unless more favorable terms are specified at the time of booking, a reservation made at the flexible rate may be canceled or modified at no charge until 12:00 p.m. on the day before arrival.
In the event of a cancellation after this deadline, the total amount of the reservation will be due from the Guest and may be billed by the Hotel.
If the Guest fails to arrive on the scheduled arrival date without prior cancellation in accordance with the terms above, the total amount of the reservation will also be due from the Guest and may be billed by the Hotel.
A “no-show” is defined as the Guest’s failure to arrive at the Hotel by 5:45 a.m. on the morning following the scheduled arrival date, unless the Hotel has given prior written consent.
In the event of a no-show, the reservation is deemed canceled for the entire stay. The Hotel does not guarantee the availability of the room for subsequent nights, which may be made available for sale again, without prejudice to the billing of 100% of the reservation amount.
4.2 Non-cancelable, non-changeable, non-refundable rate
For any reservation made at a non-cancellable, non-changeable, and non-refundable rate, the total amount of the reservation is due upon confirmation.
In the event of cancellation, modification, or no-show, no refund will be issued, unless otherwise required by law or as part of an exceptional commercial agreement with the hotel.
A “no-show” is defined as the Guest’s failure to arrive at the Hotel by 5:45 a.m. on the morning following the scheduled arrival date, unless the Hotel has given prior written consent.
In the event of a no-show, the reservation is considered canceled for the entire stay. The hotel does not guarantee the availability of the room for subsequent nights, which may be made available for sale again.
4.3 Shortened Stay
In the event that the guest cuts short their stay, no refund will be due for unused nights or services, unless the hotel grants a special commercial arrangement or more favorable rate conditions apply.
Article 5 — Rates
Prices are listed in euros, including all taxes, excluding the tourist tax, unless otherwise noted.
The rates shown apply per room, based on the dates, number of guests, and conditions selected by the Customer.
Additional services, such as breakfast, beverages, extra services, or specific options, are included only when they are expressly mentioned in the booked offer.
The tourist tax, when applicable, is collected in accordance with current regulations and can be paid on site or at the time of booking, depending on the available options.
The Hotel reserves the right to change its prices at any time. However, the price applicable to the Guest remains the one confirmed at the time of booking, unless there is an obvious error in the price display or data entry.
Any changes to applicable taxes, fees, or VAT rates may be passed on in accordance with current regulations.
Article 6 — Payment
Payment terms depend on the rate selected and are displayed before the reservation is confirmed.
Payment may be required:
- immediately at the time of booking, particularly for prepaid or non-refundable rates;
- When the reservation is changed to non-refundable;
- upon arrival, during the stay, or upon departure, particularly for certain flexible rates;
- in accordance with any other terms expressly specified in the conditions of the reserved fare.
Accepted payment methods may include, among others, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as any other payment method accepted by the Hotel at the time of booking or during the stay.
Payment information is processed by a secure payment service provider. Banking information is transmitted securely and is not retained by the Hotel beyond what is necessary for managing the reservation, payment, guarantee, or applicable legal obligations.
Upon arrival or during your stay, the hotel may request a bank guarantee, a preauthorization, or a security deposit to cover any charges, additional services, or damages.
The Customer may be asked to present the credit card used for the reservation as well as a form of identification, particularly as part of fraud prevention procedures.
The hotel is not obligated to provide the reserved services if payment or a bank guarantee has not been validly provided.
Article 7 — Arrival, Departure, and Stay
Unless otherwise specified in the reservation confirmation:
- Rooms are available starting at 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival;
- Rooms must be vacated by 12:00 p.m. at the latest on the day of departure.
In the event of an unauthorized late checkout, an additional night's stay may be charged.
Upon arrival, the Guest must present a valid form of identification. The Hotel may collect the information necessary to fulfill its legal obligations, including police formalities applicable to certain travelers.
All Korner hotels are smoke-free. Any violation of this rule may result in charges for cleaning, deodorization, restoration, or compensation for damages incurred.
For the sake of comfort and peace and quiet, pets are not allowed in Korner hotels, with the exception of guide dogs or legally permitted service animals.
The Guest agrees to use the room, the facilities, and the common areas responsibly and in accordance with their intended purpose.
Any conduct that violates public decency, public order, safety, hygiene, or the peace and quiet of the establishment may result in the Hotel asking the Guest to leave the premises immediately, without compensation or refund.
Article 8 — Customer Liability and Damages
The Guest is liable for any direct or indirect damages caused by the Guest, by persons sharing the room with the Guest, or by any person the Guest brings into the establishment.
Such damages may include, among other things:
- breakage or damage to furniture, materials, or equipment;
- damage requiring special cleaning;
- nuisances or disturbances caused to other customers;
- violation of the facility's safety, hygiene, or operational rules.
The Hotel may charge the Guest for the costs of repair, replacement, cleaning, restoration, or compensation corresponding to the damage incurred.
These amounts may be deducted from the bank guarantee or preauthorization, subject to verification.
Article 9 — Personal Belongings and Valuables
The hotel is liable for guests’ personal belongings under the terms set forth in the regulations applicable to hotels.
Guests are advised to store valuables, cash, jewelry, important documents, or sensitive equipment in the security lockers provided, if available, or to report them to the front desk.
The Hotel shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage resulting from the Guest’s negligence, a force majeure event, the nature or inherent defect of the item, or the Guest’s reckless behavior.
Article 10 — Internet Access and Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi access may be provided to the Guest, either free of charge or for an additional fee, depending on the Hotel’s policy.
The Customer agrees to use this access in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
In particular, the user shall refrain from any fraudulent or unlawful use, or any use that infringes the rights of third parties, including the unauthorized reproduction, display, distribution, or downloading of works protected by copyright or any other intellectual property right.
The Guest is also required to comply with the IT security rules applicable to the Hotel’s network.
The hotel does not guarantee that the Wi-Fi network will be free of interruptions, failures, overloads, or malfunctions.
Article 11 — Complaints
Any complaint regarding the reservation or stay must be submitted to the hotel in question or to Korner Hotels’ customer service department, along with the necessary supporting documentation.
Unless otherwise specified, the Customer has 8 days following departure to file a complaint regarding the provision of services.
If no complaint is filed within this time period, the services will be deemed to be in accordance with the reservation, except for any defect or breach that the Customer could not reasonably have detected within that time period.

Article 12 — Relocation
In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, force majeure, technical impossibility, overbooking, temporary closure, or the Hotel’s inability to provide the reserved room, the Hotel may offer the Guest alternative accommodations at an establishment of equivalent category, with services of the same nature, subject to the Guest’s consent when required.
If the Hotel is responsible for the inability to provide the reserved room, it will cover any additional costs directly related to the guest’s re-accommodation, in accordance with the terms set forth in the applicable regulations.
Article 13 — No Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services—other than residential accommodation—that are to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
Consequently, the reservation is final upon confirmation, subject to the cancellation and change policies specific to the booked rate.
Article 14 — Liability of the Hotel
The Hotel is committed to providing the reserved services in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the specific terms of the reserved rate.
The Hotel shall not be held liable in the event of non-performance or improper performance attributable to the Guest, a third party unrelated to the service, or a force majeure event.
The services offered comply with the regulations in effect in France.
The Hotel shall not be held liable for the Guest’s choice, particularly with regard to whether the services booked meet the Guest’s personal needs.
The Hotel’s liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Guest for the reservation in question, except in cases of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
Article 15 — Protection of Personal Data
The personal data collected in connection with the reservation and stay are necessary for managing the reservation, providing services, billing, customer relations, fraud prevention, and compliance with the Hotel’s legal obligations.
This information may be shared with service providers and partners involved in processing the reservation, payment, stay, or customer service.
Subject to the conditions set forth in applicable regulations, the Customer has the right to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict the processing of, and transfer their data.
The Customer may exercise their rights by contacting Korner Hotels at the following address: guest-relation@hotels-korner.com, or any other designated address listed in the privacy policy.
The processing of personal data is described in detail in the applicable privacy policy, which is available on the Website.

Booking a stay does not grant the Customer any rights to the trademarks, trade names, distinctive signs, or content belonging to Korner Hotels, its operating companies, or their partners.
Article 17 — Force Majeure
The Parties shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or any delay in the performance of their obligations if such failure or delay results from a force majeure event as defined in Article 1218 of the Civil Code.
Depending on the circumstances, the following, among others, may constitute cases of force majeure: natural disasters, fires, floods, pandemics, administrative decisions, major transportation disruptions, strikes not involving the Hotel, widespread network outages, or any unforeseeable, unavoidable, and external event that prevents the normal performance of services.
Article 18 — Force Majeure
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Parties agree to exclude the application of the force majeure provisions set forth in Article 1195 of the Civil Code with respect to services provided under these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Article 22 — Miscellaneous Provisions
