The data controller is the company that operates the hotel involved in the request, reservation, or stay.

When a request concerns multiple hotels or the Korner Hotels group in general, the data may be processed by Korner Hotels or by the group’s coordinating entity, on behalf of the relevant management companies.

2. Purposes of the Processing

Korner Hotel Management Companies may process the User's personal information for the following purposes:

provide the requested information or services;
manage contact requests;
manage reservations;
manage the customer's stay;
process payments and bank guarantees;
issue invoices;
manage customer relationships;
handle complaints;
to collect information that will help us improve the website, products, and services;
contact the User regarding events related to Korner hotels, including, in particular, information about new partnerships, product updates, or customer support;
prevent fraud;
comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Recipients

Personal information is provided to the Korner hotel management companies involved in the request, reservation, or stay.

Korner hotels may, where appropriate, refuse requests that are clearly unreasonable, particularly those that are numerous, repetitive, or systematic in nature.

Consumer Rights — Bloctel

The User is informed of their right to sign up for the Bloctel telemarketing opt-out list.

Bloctel is the telemarketing opt-out list that any consumer can join free of charge to prevent being contacted by phone for commercial purposes by a business with which they do not have an existing contractual relationship, in accordance with applicable law.

The law specifies that no professional may, either directly or through a third party acting on their behalf, contact a consumer listed on that registry by telephone for commercial purposes, except as provided by law.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the provision of lodging services—other than residential lodging—that must be provided on a specific date or during a specific period does not allow for the exercise of the right of withdrawal applicable to certain distance sales.

The terms and conditions of sale for the booked rate specify the procedures for canceling and/or modifying the reservation for the selected rate.

6. Response Times

Korner Hotels are committed to responding to any request for access, correction, objection, or any other request for additional information within a reasonable timeframe, which shall not exceed one month from receipt of the complete request.

Dispute Resolution Platform

Korner Hotels hereby informs the Customer of the existence of a European online dispute resolution platform, which the Customer may use to attempt to resolve a dispute regarding an online reservation.

Customer Reviews

In accordance with Articles L.111-7-2 and D.111-16 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), Korner Hotels informs Users about the procedures for publishing customer reviews displayed on the hotels’ pages of the Website.

Source of Reviews. The reviews displayed are public reviews left by customers on each hotel’s Google listing. They are automatically retrieved from Google and updated approximately every two months. The overall rating and the number of reviews shown are those calculated and displayed by Google as of the update date indicated on the page.

Lack of verification. Korner hotels do not conduct any verification to confirm that the author of a review actually stayed at the property. Any such checks are the responsibility of the platform on which the review was posted.

Selection criteria and display order. The reviews displayed are a selection: only 5-star reviews with text ranging from 81 to 400 characters, chosen from among the most recent ones, are included. They therefore do not represent all of the reviews published about the hotel, which the User can view in full via the “View reviews” or “View on Google” link. Reviews highlighted by the hotel are displayed first, followed by the other reviews in order from most recent to least recent. The month of publication is indicated for each review.

Translation. Reviews written in a language other than French are automatically translated; in such cases, the original language is indicated below the review.

No compensation. Reviewers are not paid for the publication of their reviews.

Display duration. The reviews displayed are replaced with more recent ones with each update. A review does not remain displayed after it is no longer included in the selection described above.

Summary of Reviews. The summary and keywords displayed on each hotel page are compiled by Hotel Korner based on an analysis of public reviews posted on Booking, Expedia, Google, TripAdvisor, and Airbnb. They highlight the aspects most frequently praised by guests and do not constitute a comprehensive summary of all reviews. The number of reviews shown is rounded down to the nearest hundred.

Reporting and Removal. The author of a published review, or anyone who wishes to report a review they believe to be inaccurate or inauthentic, may request its removal from the Website by writing to guest-relation@hotels-korner.com. Any changes to a review are made directly on the platform where it was published.

General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Reservations made at Korner hotels are subject to the applicable General Terms and Conditions of Sale, which are available on the website.

The General Terms and Conditions of Sale specify, in particular, the terms and conditions regarding reservations, cancellations, changes, payment, no-shows, stays, liability, and mediation.
