From Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle
The RER B, the most direct option
The RER B connects the airport to the heart of Paris, stopping at Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, Luxembourg, and Denfert-Rochereau, among others. Depending on your hotel, you can either get off at the appropriate station or transfer to the metro.
The journey requires the Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket, at €14 full fare and €7 reduced fare. It is valid on the RER and metro all the way to your final destination. It can be loaded onto a Navigo Easy pass or a smartphone: the standard metro ticket is not accepted for airport journeys.
The Roissybus no longer operates
The Roissybus shuttle between Opéra and the airport stopped running on February 28, 2026. It has been replaced by express bus line 9517, which connects the airport to Saint-Denis Pleyel, where you can transfer to Metro Line 14.
Coming soon: the CDG Express
A direct rail link between Gare de l'Est and the airport—the CDG Express—is scheduled to open in spring 2027, with a travel time of about 20 minutes. It will be especially convenient for travelers staying near Gare de l'Est.
Fixed-fare taxis
Paris taxis charge a fixed fare between the airport and Paris, set by prefectural decree: in 2026, €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank. Only take taxis from official taxi stands, and check the fare displayed before setting off.
From Orly

Since its extension, metro line 14 connects Aéroport d'Orly station to central Paris with no change, in under 40 minutes. It stops at Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, Pyramides, Madeleine and Saint-Lazare, among others. The journey requires the same €14 Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket.

The Orlyval automatic shuttle takes you from the airport to Antony station in just a few minutes, where you board the RER B toward Denfert-Rochereau, Luxembourg, and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. This is often the easiest way to get to the Latin Quarter and the 15th arrondissement.
