CDG or Orly Airport: How to Get to Your Hotel in Paris

Travelers with their suitcases at an RER station in Paris

RER B, Line 14, taxi: options for getting to Paris from Roissy and Orly in 2026, and the easiest route to each of our hotels.

From Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport, the easiest way to get to Paris is by the RER B, which goes directly to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, and the Latin Quarter in about 40 minutes. From Orly, Metro Line 14 takes you to downtown Paris without changing trains in less than 40 minutes. In both cases, you’ll need a special ticket costing €14. Taxis, on the other hand, charge a flat rate depending on which side of the Seine your hotel is located.

From Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle

The RER B, the most direct option

The RER B line runs from the airport to the heart of Paris and stops at Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, Luxembourg, and Denfert-Rochereau, among other stations. Depending on your hotel, you’ll either get off directly at the right station or transfer to the metro.

The Roissybus no longer exists

The Roissybus shuttle bus between the Opéra and the airport stopped running on February 28, 2026. It has been replaced by the 9517 express line, which connects the airport to Saint-Denis Pleyel, where you can transfer to Metro Line 14.

Coming Soon: the CDG Express

A direct rail link between Gare de l'Est and the airport—the CDG Express—is scheduled to open in the spring of 2027, with a travel time of about 20 minutes. It will be particularly beneficial for travelers staying near Gare de l'Est.

The fixed-rate taxi

Parisian taxis charge a fixed fare between the airport and Paris, set by prefectural decree: in 2026, €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank. Take taxis only from official taxi stands and check the fare before getting in.

From Orly

Line 14, direct to downtown

Orlyval and RER B, toward the left bank

The Orlyval automated train connects the airport to the Antony station in just a few minutes, where you can take the RER B toward Denfert-Rochereau, Luxembourg, and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. It’s usually the easiest way to get to the Latin Quarter and the 15th arrondissement.

The fixed-rate taxi

From Orly, the flat-rate taxi fare will be €36 to the Left Bank and €45 to the Right Bank in 2026.

Arriving late or with children

Train service from the airports stops around midnight. After that, your options are the Noctilien night buses or fixed-rate taxis, whose fares do not change at night. Be sure to let your hotel know your arrival time: most of our hotels have a 24-hour front desk, and our digital guest experience allows you to check into your room without waiting.

When traveling as a family, children under 4 years old ride for free on public transportation in the Île-de-France region if they do not occupy a seat, and there is a reduced fare for older children. If you have several suitcases and a stroller, a flat-rate taxi is usually a competitive option for groups of three or four people. To choose the right room, check out our guide to family rooms in Paris.

Are you arriving before 3:00 p.m.? Our hotels will store your luggage for free while your room is being prepared, and also after you check out until your flight time.
